The Ohio Basement Authority team participates in quarterly give-backs in order to return the gifts we’ve been given. Recently, a group of us volunteered at Deer Creek State Park. At the park, we trimmed the brush around a cabin to form a path, then we stained the cabin and its deck.
Our group of 10 enjoyed bonding with each other, making an impact, and getting to know the park maintenance manager, Bob.
Staining cabins like these is something the park has been wanting to do for years to upkeep the quality of the park. However, they were unable to do so until we volunteered. It was a great feeling to help with something the park really needed.
“Giving back to the community is always a rewarding experience," said Shad Draper, an appointment center representative. "Being able to do so with friends and colleagues made it even better.”
The maintenance manager was extremely grateful and told us to come back any time.
One of our account customer service representatives said, “I absolutely enjoyed myself, and would love to return!”
