Homeowners in New Albany, OH, moved into their house not long after it was built. When they did so, they intended to make this house their longtime home. That is why maintaining the health and safety of their living environment is very important to these homeowners.
During the last few months, the homeowners started to notice problems with their interior waterproofing system. There was evidence of water intrusion in some areas of the basement, and the existing sump pump appeared to not be keeping up with this seeping water. The homeowners use the basement for storage and livable space, and they did not want to have to worry about their belongings being ruined by water damage.
The owners began to research repair options, and they came across Ohio Basement Authority’s website. After gleaning information about our company, they were motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. Then they met with Inspector John Dean who evaluated the condition of the basement and the sump pump system. John then recommended upgrading the sump pump to a more reliable system.
One of our crews replaced the sump pump with the “king” of sump pump systems – the SafeDri Triple sump pump. Equipped with three powerful pumps inside its liner, as well as an external backup battery, the reliable SafeDri Triple will always work to pump any seeping water out of the basement. The backup battery ensures the system’s operation even during the event of a power outage, and it allows the system to pump more than 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge.
Two FreezeGuards were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to ensure the water pumped out of the home will have an easy escape if the discharge line should freeze or become blocked.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these upgrades will help keep their home safe and dry for years to come.
