Having a broken water line can be a hassle any time of year, especially during the winter months.
The City of Springfield notified the tenant and owners of a house within the city limits that the water line appeared to be leaking near the front curb and driveway, and promptly needed to be repaired and replaced.
The owners of the house started to quickly research how to address this issue. As they did so, they found information about Ohio Basement Authority on online resources like Homeadvisor. They were motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They then met with Inspector Victor Golowin who visited the property the next day to assess the condition of the problematic water line.
Victor then recommended having one of our expert crews, led by Field Supervisor Adam Kuhns, fix and replace the water line.
The crew did this by excavating down to the existing line in the ground and replacing it with newer, more reliable polyethylene pipe. After the line was installed, a new shut-off valve and piping also was installed inside the home.
The homeowners and tenant are happy to have an updated system that will serve the home for many years to come.
