Peeking inside this area under the house, the owners noticed the crawl space was not properly sealed or insulated. The plastic floor liner was no longer completely covering the dirt and gravel floor, and the fiberglass insulation was falling from the walls and floor joists.
Concerned with these conditions, the owners wanted to address these problems right away. After previously working with Ohio Basement Authority to stabilize a cracking, tilting foundation wall in their basement, the owners knew they could again count on us to remedy the nasty crawl space.
The homeowners were eager to again contact us, as well as meet with their original inspector. Our inspector ventured into the crawl space to assess the condition of this area, and he then presented the owners with the perfect repair solutions.
Foreman Jamey Hackett and his crew then worked to transform this unsightly and unhealthy area. They first carefully removed any debris, insulation, liner and other nuisances from the crawl space. Thick drainage matting was then placed on the floor to enhance the durability of the encapsulation material.
The crawl space was then completely encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner. CrawlSeal is a thick and durable liner similar to swimming pool liner. It is 100% waterproof, and has been treated with an anti-microbial solution to prevent mold and moisture buildup. CrawlSeal seals the crawl space to fully isolate it from the earth, it acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, and it helps insulate the crawl space.
The homeowners are happy repeat customers, and they can rest easier knowing these trustworthy repairs have helped them create a safer and healthier living environment.
