Homeowners in the German Village area of Columbus, OH, began noticing floors that were cold and not level above their crawl space.
The home was built in the 1870s with a stone foundation.
They contacted other companies, which were not willing to work with them, but Ohio Basement Authority was eager to help these homeowners address their problems.
During Matt Wojciechowski's thorough inspection, he found condensation, duct leakage, and a lot of debris in the crawl space.
One of our crews completely transformed the crawl space within a couple of days!
They first removed all of the debris from the area, then placed drainage matting on the floor. Then they completely encapsulated the crawl space with durable CrawlSeal liner, which completely stops moisture penetration.
Four IntelliJack Crawl Space Stabilizers were also installed to correct sagging floors above the crawl space. These high-capacity, adjustable steel piers are designed to stop settling, and even raise the floor back up to the proper level.
All of these products meet the homeowners' goals of controlling earth moisture, saving energy, and having a structurally sound home.
