Homeowners in Bremen, OH, have lived in their house for many years. They have experienced water issues in their basement and crawl space for many years, and they are eager to find permanent solutions.
They contacted Ohio Basement Authority, and one of our certified inspectors performed a thorough evaluation on the more than 100-year-old home's interior and exterior. He then suggested a variety of products to keep the basement and crawl space dry.
Per our inspector's recommendation, one of our expert crews completed several projects inside the home and on the property's exterior.
The CrawlDrain drainage system was installed around the crawl space perimeter to intercept any seeping water and drain it to the SafeDri Pro sump pump. After placing drainage matting on the ground, the crawl space was then encapsulated with durable CrawlSeal liner. This isolates the crawl space from the earth and deters nuisances such as mold, moisture, dirt and pests.
A similar project was also completed in the basement. The sub-floor BasementGutter was installed around the perimeter. Any water is drained to the SafeDri Triple sump pump, then pumped out of and away from the home. A dehumidifier was installed to filter the air, and CrawlSeal liner was placed on the walls to improve their appearance and help keep them dry.
New downspout conductor lines were installed by burying them underground and out to the street. Just outside the house, FreezeGuards were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to prevent flooding from frozen or blocked lines.
The homeowners are pleased their home will now be a dry and healthy living environment for many years to come.
