Homeowners in Lewis Center, OH, recently began to notice water on the basement floor, as well as inward movement of the foundation walls. They have lived in the home for three years, and previously had waterproofing work done by another company.
They wanted to be sure these issues were addressed correctly, so they did some research and contacted Ohio Basement Authority. Inspector John Becker Sr. performed a thorough inspection at the almost 50-year-old house and proposed various permanent basement waterproofing and foundation repair solutions.
Per John's recommendation, one of our expert crews installed the sub-floor BasementGutter drainage system throughout the basement's perimeter. This system will catch any seeping water and drain it into the reliable SafeDri Triple sump pump. The SafeDri Triple features three powerful pumps inside its liner, and is also equipped with a back-up battery that keeps it operational during power outages.
From the SafeDri Triple, the water will be pumped out of and away from the home through a discharge line. A FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior line to allow water to escape the line even if it clogs or freezes in the winter.
A dehumidifier was also installed to dry and filter the air in the basement. This trustworthy system also helps prevent mold and reduce odors.
A total of 15 durable Carbon Fiber wall supports were also installed throughout the basement to permanently reinforce the problematic walls that were cracking and bowing inward. These sturdy supports can easily be concealed. These panels will not rot or support mold growth, and they help insulate the walls.
The homeowners were excited to have these products installed because now they know their house will be a dry and stable living environment for many years to come!
