It’s important to have a quality waterproofing system in your home, and for you to have confidence in this system’s effectiveness.
Homeowners in Canal Winchester, OH, were not satisfied with the waterproofing system in their basement. Past flooding experiences motivated them to purchase a sump pump with a battery back-up system a few years ago. Issues such as moisture in the basement persisted, however.
They contacted Ohio Basement Authority, and we replaced their sump pump with the reliable SafeDri Triple system. We also installed a dehumidifier to filter and purify the air, attached FreezeGuards to the exterior sump pump discharge lines, and camouflaged the end of the new, buried downspout conductor lines with YardWells.
During a routine proactive maintenance appointment almost a year later with one of our service technicians, the homeowners mentioned they noticed water intrusion in another part of their basement. While they previously were focused on upgrading the sump pump, this time they wanted to make sure they had a complete waterproofing system to keep their basement dry. Our tech then presented them with options that would address these issues.
One of our expert basement waterproofing crews then installed additional permanent solutions.
To address the areas of water intrusion, the crew installed the BasementGutter interior drainage system. The basement floor’s perimeter was excavated so this special system could be installed in the sub-floor. Weep holes also were drilled into the bottom course of the block foundation walls to allow any seeping water to easily drain into the BasementGutter system. Once BasementGutter intercepts the water, it is directed to drain into the SafeDri Triple system already in place.
These homeowners and repeat customers were excited to have Ohio Basement Authority install a comprehensive basement waterproofing system so their home will be safe and healthy living environment for many years to come.
