A couple in Springfield, OH decided to buy the wife's grandma's home and completely redo it. They researched Ohio Basement Authority and really liked the products we offer. The basement was damp, did not have a sump pump, and water was coming through the back wall.
One of our inspectors visited the home and explained which waterproofing products could be used to correct the issues the couple was having.
The new homeowners chose to go with a basement air system, a SafeDri Triple sump pump, and BasementGutter interior drainage.
The production crew, led by foreman Jose De Jesus Tellez Ortiz, first installed the SafeDri Triple pump system. This includes a twin liner with a 1/3 horsepower cast-iron primary pump, a 1/2 horsepower cast-iron back-up pump, and SafeDri battery back-up pumping system with charging/control box and a 120-amp sealed maintenance-free battery.
Then, they set up the Basement Air System to keep humidity low. This system removes 10 times the amount of water from the air as a normal dehumidified, but uses the same energy.
Finally, they installed the BasementGutter sub-floor drainage system under the concrete basement floor. This is a specially designed system with a trapezoidal shape with holes and a flange to collect water from the ground and walls. The crew laid gravel around the drainage and poured concrete in all areas removed.
The homeowners can now continue to remodel the home with a newly waterproofed, healthy basement.
