A couple was 48 hours away from closing on a home in Springfield, OH, when they discovered water in the basement during their final home walk through. One corner was leaking particularly badly. They loved the home, but didn't wanted to move in knowing that the basement would be damp. So, the realtor and the couple called us for assistance.
One of our certified inspectors went to the home to explore the issues. He described the products and repairs that could be used to remedy the problems, and showed a video presentation.
The home buyers selected the SafeDri Prox and BasementGutter systems.
The production crew first installed the SafeDri Prox pump system which includes a cast-iron pump, liner, airtight lid with floor drain, CleanPump stand, and Alarm. These all work together to form a state-of-the-art, debris-free sump pump system which can pump up to 2,200 gallons of water per hour. They also created a new electrical outlet for the sump to meet code.
Then, they installed the BasementGutter sub-floor drainage system. This is a unique system which, unlike traditional pipe and gravel systems, is designed not to clog with dirt from under the floor. It collects water from the ground and walls with special holes and a flange which sits against the wall, and drains it into the sump pump.
The future homeowners can now move into their new home without worry of water leakage in the basement.
