Homeowners in Heath, OH wanted to sell their home, but the cracking and bowing foundation walls were standing in the way. The called us wanting a repair that would keep them and future homeowners safe and allow them to sell the house.
Certified inspector, Victor Golowin, visited the home to determine the best route to take for repair. He suggested using carbon fiber straps to reinforce the bowing and cracked walls.
The homeowners decided to go with this fix.
The production crew, led by foreman Richard Pomales, came in and adhered 8 carbon fiber straps to the affected walls. Carbon fiber is a material with a very high tensile strength; this means that it is nearly impossible to stretch or rip. It is often "glued" to cracked and bowing walls to hold them in place and keep them from shifting further.
The homeowners are happy with the results and are confident they will be able to find a buyer for this home.
