A homeowner, who had lived in her Ashville, OH, home for 40 years, was fed up with her basement leaking all the time. Water was coming in from the base of the walls and puddling in several corners. She and her son called us to schedule a free inspection and estimate.
One of our inspectors visited the home to inspect the wet basement. He talked about the various waterproofing products we offer and which ones would be best in this situation.
Collectively, they decided that a 1/3 horsepower primary sump pump with a SafeDri battery backup and BasementGutter would be the best solutions to fit their budget and effectively waterproof the basement and stop the leakage.
A well-versed production crew, led by foreman Jose Tellez, arrived at the home and first installed the 1/3 horsepower pump inside the homeowner's existing sump pit. This is powerful product that can pump thousands of gallons of water per hour out of the basement. They attached the SafeDri battery backup which kicks on if the primary pump stops working for any reason (typically because of a power outage). This secondary pump can pump 12,000 gallons of water on a single charge.
Next, they installed the BasementGutter sub-floor drainage system. This is an assemblage of trapezoid-shaped drains with large holes and special flange which capture water from the floor and wall. The system is slanted, so it drains this water into the sump pump system to release it outside of the home.
The homeowner is now assured that her basement will never leak now due to these first-rate repairs.
