How would you react if you created your perfect in-home gym and entertainment center, then noticed damage in these areas?
After living in their house for almost four years, homeowners in Williamsport, OH, noticed areas of their finished basement were leaking. They also questioned the condition and effectiveness of their existing sump pump system.
In order to avoid any damage and unhealthy conditions, the homeowners wanted to address this issue as soon as possible. They were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company through our website. The owners met with one of our experienced inspectors, Brendan Kent, who completed a thorough evaluation of the home.
The homeowners were equally excited to have one of our expert crews install several permanent waterproofing products that will always keep their basement dry.
First, the crew took great care to cover the basement in protective plastic. Then, they excavated the perimeter to install the BasementGutter drainage system in the sub-floor. If any water seeps inside, the BasementGutter system will intercept it and drain it to the SafeDri Triple sump pump that replaced the older sump pump system. Equipped with three powerful pumps inside its liner, as well as an external backup battery, the reliable SafeDri Triple will always work to pump any seeping water out of the basement.
Two FreezeGuards were attached to the external sump pump discharge lines, and these lines were tied into new downspout conductor lines that also were installed on the property. These lines also were directed to drain at the edge of the property, and their ends were camouflaged with YardWell outlets.
The homeowners are happy to now have a safer and healthier living environment because of these permanent solutions.
