After living in their house for several years, homeowners in Mansfield, OH, were growing concerned with the structural integrity of their house. They noticed a couple areas of the floor were sagging, and they wanted to permanently address this.
The owners were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads. They met with Inspector Brendan Kent, who completed a thorough evaluation of the home and its support system. He found a partial wall constructed with wooden supports in the basement. Along with the wooden supports, there also were some light-duty jack posts in place to stabilize the above floor and floor joists. It was obvious that these supports were failing to stabilize the home, so Brendan presented the owners with one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions.
Foreman Milton Castro led his crew in demolishing the wall and removing the existing supports. They then installed several IntelliJacks. IntelliJacks might look similar to other support systems like light-duty jack posts, but they are superior to the common repairs in many ways.
The heavy-duty IntelliJacks are made of galvanized steel to enhance their durability, as well as resist rust, corrosion and rot. The IntelliJacks permanently stabilize the above floors and help raise them back to the proper level. They also are designed to prevent further settling. But if any settling occurs, the IntelliJacks can easily be adjusted.
The homeowners are pleased their home will now be structurally sound for many years to come.
