After their mother passed away, two siblings assumed the responsibility of selling her home in West Liberty, OH. As they began this process, they noticed areas of the home that needed to be repaired, including a cracking, tilting wall and water seepage in the basement.
While researching potential repairs, the siblings came across online information about Ohio Basement Authority. They were eager to contact us to learn more about our company and how we could help them. The siblings then met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the basement. He then presented the siblings with some of our reliable basement waterproofing and foundation repair solutions.
The siblings were eager for one of our crews, led by Foreman Michael Gramly, to install these products.
The crew first stabilized the cracking foundation wall with several Wall Anchors. These heavy-duty, galvanized steel anchors permanently stabilize the wall where they were installed. They also offer the best opportunity to straighten and improve the wall because of their unique design.
The basement was then waterproofed with the BasementGutter interior drainage system and SafeDri Prox sump pump. Designed to sit in the sub-floor, BasementGutter catches any seeping water from the walls and floor. This water is then directed to the powerful SafeDri Prox sump pump, which has the ability to pump up to 2,200 gallons of water out of the basement per hour. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
The siblings are pleased these trustworthy solutions were installed to help ensure the home’s resale value, as well as the living environment’s health and safety for the next owners.
