I’ve seen Ohio Basement Authority’s television commercials, as well as on Angie’s List and their signs in neighborhood yards. I chose to work with the company because of its Angie’s List rating and professionalism.

The inspector I met with was extremely professional, on time, friendly, and he took his time to explain any questions I had.

The crew called to let me know when they were on their way. I appreciated that so I could move my car from the garage to the street so that they could use my driveway for their vehicle.

The crew also was very courteous. Mike was the foreman, and he and the other gentleman were both very nice. They shook my hand and explained what they were going to do and the time frame it would take.

I’ve seen Ohio Basement Authority various places, including Angie’s List.

You also were recommended by a city engineer. You seem to have the best, most complete, and most precisely-defined product offerings for basements, especially versus plumbing companies offering sump solutions.

Jeff was knowledgeable and thorough in his initial presentation, and quick to respond to questions before and after the proposal was finalized.

Jeff was great and did a good job presenting a plan of action. I was asking a lot of questions and his answers were great.

Just one guy came for the installation, Manuel. Manuel was super courteous and thorough. He was a very hard worker from what I could tell. For the most part, it was very clean after he worked.

We met two very nice ladies at the Ohio Expo. They were the nicest, easy to talk with and professional than most other booths we stopped at that day. Very helpful and great experience.

Jeff who came to the house was very nice and knowledgeable. Again very easy to talk with and felt I could trust him. You have the right people in the right roles. Great experience.

We chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of your people and the price. The experience of working with Jeff was a pleasure and trusting. It is something to be appreciated and vital to the decision. You were competitive on price as well.

The crew was very friendly and exceeded expectations. They also left the area better than they found it. I couldn't have asked for better. They were hard working, focused and on top of getting the job done. There is that little bit of uncertainty and worry of who will actually be doing the work when you bring a company into your home, but as soon as they arrived that worry was gone. They were friendly, made sure to introduce themselves and made the time to talk through the details. I was impressed.

It is not often you receive a flawless experience when trying to have someone come in to do work at your house. Every step of the process (inquiry/scheduling, sale/estimate, communication, and installation) was done with excellence. Ohio Basement Authority seems to have learned from their many years of experience to just about perfect their way of doing business and it shows. Kudos and thanks to everyone. I'm looking forward to getting to use my basement now that the repairs have been made.

Waterproofing Upgrades Will Keep a Leaking Basement Dry in Westerville, OH

Homeowners in Westerville, OH, were alarmed when they noticed evidence of water intrusion in their basement. But they knew they could count on Ohio Basement Authority for a reliable solution. They previously worked with us for a project to reinforce their cracking, tilting foundation walls.

The owners were again eager to contact us, and they met with Inspector Jeff Floit. Jeff then completed a thorough assessment of the leaking basement, and he recommended some of our reliable waterproofing solutions.

Forman Jose De Jesus Tellez Ortiz and his crew then waterproofed the basement with the sub-floor BasementGutter drainage system, SafeDri sump pump, and FreezeGuard attachment.

BasementGutter is specially designed to sit in the sub-floor and atop the footer in order to intercept seeping water from the walls and floor. Any water collected by BasementGutter is then directed to the SafeDri. The SafeDri system features two powerful pumps inside the liner, along with an external backup battery. The latter ensures the system will always operate to pump water out of the basement, even during power outages. Additionally, a FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line to prevent flooding if the line should freeze or become blocked.

The homeowners can rest easier knowing these trustworthy repairs are protecting their home.

SafeDri Sump Pump Upgrade Will Keep a Basement Dry in New Albany, OH

She has lived in her house for a little more than one year, but a homeowner in New Albany, OH, recently started to become concerned with her interior waterproofing system. She wondered if the sump pump was working correctly, as it was making a lot of noise.

The sump pump system is located in a closet in the finished basement, so it’s easy to keep it out of sight and out of mind. But the homeowner wanted to make sure her finished basement would be protected from flooding or other issues.

The owner contacted Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads, and she met with Inspector Jeff Floit. Jeff assessed the condition of the sump pump, and he noticed it looked outdated and inefficient. A failing sump pump, even if it has a backup battery, can lead to the problems the homeowner wanted to avoid. Jeff suggested the homeowner upgrade her sump pump to one of our reliable systems.

Foreman Milton Castro and his crew removed the older system and replaced it with the SafeDri Battery Backup System.

The SafeDri features two powerful pumps inside the liner, as well as an external backup battery to ensure the system will always operate to pump water out of the basement. We installed the SafeDri inside the larger SafeDri liner to allow for easy future upgrades.

The homeowner is pleased to have an updated sump pump system that will keep her home dry.

Permanently Waterproofing a Leaking Basement and Improving its Appearance in London, OH

While they have lived in their house for more than 20 years, it wasn’t until recently that these homeowners in London, OH, began to notice glaring problems in their basement. During constant heavy summertime storms, water leaked into the basement and ended up flooding the home with a few feet of water. That is a significant amount of water anyway, but it also was obvious that the existing sump pump system was failing and could not keep up with the seeping water.

The owners wanted to address these issues right away so they wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning up from another flood. As they researched potential repairs and companies to complete the work, the owners found information about Ohio Basement Authority on Home Advisor. They were eager to contact us to meet with one of our inspectors and learn more about how we could help them.

Inspector Jeff Floit completed a thorough evaluation of the basement, and then he recommended some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions that would give them peace of mind and a dry basement.

Foreman Jose de Jesus Tellez Ortiz and his crew then waterproofed the basement with products including the BasementGutter drainage system, SafeDri Triple sump pump, CrawlSeal Wall System, and exterior FreezeGuard attachment.

BasementGutter is designed to sit in the sub-floor and atop the footing in order to accept seeping water from the walls and floor. Additionally, a section of drainage was placed in the floor in front of the basement’s walk-out access. Any water intercepted by the BasementGutter is then directed to the SafeDri Triple sump pump. Equipped with three powerful pumps inside a large liner, the SafeDri Triple also has an external backup battery. All of these features ensure the SafeDri will always operate to pump water out of the basement. FreezeGuards also were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to prevent flooding.

The stone walls in the basement also were covered with CrawlSeal. This liner is typically used to encapsulate crawl spaces, but it has other practical uses as well. Along with concealing the stone walls, the water-resistant CrawlSeal liner also helps direct any seeping water from the walls down to the BasementGutter system.

The homeowners can rest easier knowing these trustworthy solutions have helped them create a safer living environment.

CrawlSeal Encapsulation Transforms an Unsightly, Unhealthy Crawl Space in Reynoldsburg, OH

After living in their house for a few months, homeowners in Reynoldsburg, OH, had grown tired of the ugly and unhealthy partial crawl space adjacent to their basement. They stored some items along the edge of the crawl space, but they were quickly realizing this was not a suitable storage area in its current condition.

The crawl space was not properly sealed or insulated. The existing insulation was failing and drooping from the walls, and the homeowners were concerned mold could potentially be growing on the insulation. This would only aggravate their allergies and affect their wellbeing.

The homeowners wanted to address this problem once and for all. They were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after learning about our company online. They met with Inspector Jeff Floit, and Jeff assessed the condition of the crawl space. He then recommended the perfect solution to transform the crawl space’s appearance and health.

One of our crews first took great care to remove the nasty insulation and other debris from the crawl space. The crawl space was then encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner. Similar to swimming pool liner, the thick and durable CrawlSeal liner fully seals the crawl space from the earth. CrawlSeal also acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, and it helps insulate the crawl space.

The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable solution has helped them create a healthy and functional crawl space, as well as a healthier forever home.

SafeDri Triple Sump Pump Upgrade will Keep a Leaking Basement Dry in New Carlisle, OH

When they moved into their house several years ago, homeowners in New Carlislie, OH, planned to live there for many years. That is why maintaining a safe and healthy living environment is important to the homeowners.

They recently began to notice water seeping inside one particular corner of the basement every time it rained. This resulted in puddles on the floor and visible damage to the walls and floor in that corner. It also was obvious the existing sump pump system was failing to keep up with this seeping water.

The homeowners would like to eventually finish the entire basement, so they wanted to have these problems fixed before any damage occurred. They came across Ohio Basement Authority’s website while researching potential repairs, and they were motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They met with Inspector Jeff Floit who evaluated the condition of the problematic basement corner and then presented them with some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions.

One of our crews then installed the BasementGutter interior drainage system around the basement’s perimeter. This system sits in the sub-floor and will intercept any leaking water from the walls and floor. The water is then directed to a more reliable and efficient sump pump we installed to replace the failing system.

The SafeDri Triple system we installed features three powerful pumps inside the liner, as well as an external backup battery. This battery ensures the system will continue to work to pump seeping water out of the basement even during power outages. Additionally, we attached two FreezeGuards to the exterior sump pump discharge lines.

The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable system will keep their basement dry.
