Album Description
After living in their house for more than 30 years, homeowners in Grove City, OH, recently began to notice they had a leaky basement. Water seemed to seep inside the home during heavy rains, resulting in puddles and small streams across the basement floor.
While the homeowners didn’t notice any major damage from the seeping water, they wanted to make sure their home, as well as their stored items in the basement, would always be safe and dry. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority after seeing one of our TV ads, and were eager to meet with one of our highly-trained inspectors.
The owners were equally excited to have one of our expert crews help them create a healthier home. We replaced the older sump pump, which was showing obvious signs of failure, with a more reliable model, the SafeDri Battery Back-up System. This powerful system will always work to pump any seeping water out of the basement, even if the power goes out.
Because water seeped into the house at the corners, we replaced the downspout conductor lines in those areas, as well as the exterior sump pump discharge line nearby. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the sump pump discharge line.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing their interior and exterior waterproofing systems have been updated to keep their home dry for many years to come.
