During the two years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Columbus, OH, have battled a leaking basement. Water seemed to seep into the home through the foundation walls and basement floor, resulting in puddles that threatened to damage their stored belongings.
The owners were concerned with significant damage, mold, their home’s heath, and how these issues could affect the future resale value of their home. While researching various repair options and companies, the homeowners were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority. They met with one of our inspectors who presented them with several reliable basement waterproofing solutions.
One of our expert repair crews installed the BasementGutter interior drainage system to intercept any seeping water. This water is then directed to the powerful SafeDri sump pump, and then pumped out of the basement and away from the home’s foundation. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
Additional installations included a FloodRing around the water tank; a dehumidifier to help control humidity, clean and filter the air, and reduce odors; and new downspout conductor lines.
The homeowners can rest easier knowing these reliable solutions will keep their basement dry and their home healthy for many years to come.
