Album Description
After only living in her house for a few months, a homeowner in London, OH, began to notice potential health issues. She was shocked when she investigated the crawl space under her home. This unhealthy area was filled with water, debris, and moldy and failing insulation.
Hoping to address these issues before they negatively impacted her well-being and the health of her home, she began reaching out to various contractors for assistance. After learning more about Ohio Basement Authority online, the owner was eager for us to help her create a healthier home.
To control the groundwater seepage and help waterproof the crawl space, we installed the CrawlDrain drainage system to catch any seeping water and drain it to the SafeDri Pro sump pump. We also encapsulated the crawl space in thick and durable CrawlSeal liner to completely isolate the area from the earth. Exterior vent covers will prevent water and pest intrusion, and the dehumidifier will help control humidity and aid in improving the air quality.
Additional installations include spray foam that was applied to the band joists, a FreezeGuard attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, new downspout conductor lines, and YardWell outlets attached to the ends of two of these downspout lines.
The homeowner is happy to now have a safe, healthy and dry home because of these reliable repairs.
