After living in their house for almost 35 years, homeowners in Ashley, OH, recently began to notice some sections of her floor seemed to be sagging and unlevel. They also were concerned the clay block support walls in the 116-year-old home could potentially collapse.
Because they plan to live in the house for many years to come, the homeowners wanted to properly address these issues. They were motivated to do so after visiting with some of our staff at our booth at a local home and garden show. They then met with one of our experienced inspectors who assured them we had the perfect permanent solution to meet their foundation repair needs.
After supporting the above floor, one of our expert crews carefully demolished the clay block walls. Then they installed several IntelliJacks underneath a new steel support beam. While they look like other common support jacks, the heavy-duty IntelliJacks are made of galvanized steel. They are rust and corrosion-resistant, and are designed to stop settling. However, they can easily be adjusted if any settlement of the above floor occurs.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable repair solution will always structurally support their home.
