During the 27 years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Millersport, OH, have been dealing with a wet basement and foundation issues. Water seemed to seep through the walls, and one of the foundation walls was cracking and slightly tilting inward, which indicates wall failure.
The owners were tired of dealing with these problems, so they began to research how to best address these issues. They were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads, and they were eager to meet with one of our inspectors. After assessing the basement’s condition, the inspector then presented the homeowners with several permanent basement waterproofing and foundation repair solutions.
One of our crews installed these trustworthy systems, which included Channel Anchors on the wall. These heavy-duty anchors permanently stabilize the wall, prevent any further cracking and bowing, and offer the best opportunity to straighten the wall.
We also waterproofed the basement by installing the interior BasementGutter drainage system and SafeDri Triple sump pump. Any seeping water from the walls and floor will be intercepted by the sub-floor BasementGutter system and directed to the SafeDri Triple sump pump to be pumped out of the home.
Additional installations included a dehumidifier that drains into the SafeDri Triple, FreezeGuards that were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines, and a YardWell outlet to camouflage the end of the downspout conductor line on the property.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions have helped them create a safer and healthier forever home.
