After living in their house for seven years, homeowners in Baltimore, OH, recently experienced a surprise of their life, and it was not a good one. After a period of heavy summertime rains, water not only leaked into their basement, but their basement ended up flooding. Even though the basement had a sump pump system, it clearly was failing to keep up with copious amounts of water.
This greatly concerned the homeowners, and they did not want to have to worry about this happening again. They wanted to get a more reliable sump pump system that could handle the problem. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority to see how we could help them, and they met with one of our inspectors who presented them with the perfect solution.
We then replaced the older sump pump system with the “king” of sump pumps – the SafeDri Triple. The SafeDri Triple system is equipped with three powerful pumps inside the submersible liner, as well as an external backup battery. All of these components work together to keep the sump pump system properly functioning in the effort to pump water out of the basement. The battery also ensures the system will continue to operate even during power outages.
Additionally, FreezeGuards were placed on the exterior sump pump discharge lines to allow water being pumped out of the basement an escape route if the discharge line freezes or becomes blocked.
The homeowners can rest easier knowing their home is protected by an updated and trustworthy sump pump system.
