During the almost 20 years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Lewis Center, OH, have rarely ventured into the partial crawl space adjacent to the basement. However, they have grown tired of looking at the unsightly area and dealing with unpleasant odors originating from the space.
After seeing Ohio Basement Authority’s TV ads, the owners were motivated to contact us for further guidance. They met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the crawl space. Our inspector pointed out that the failing insulation and floor liner could be contributing to the nasty condition of the area. He then recommended the perfect crawl space repair solutions.
One of our crews encapsulated and insulated the crawl space. They did this by first removing the older insulation and liner, then placing ExTremeBloc panels on the walls. The crawl space was then completely sealed with thick and durable CrawlSeal liner. This liner acts as a moisture and vapor barrier that also helps insulate the crawl space. Spray foam was applied to the band joists for further insulation.
The homeowners are pleased to now have a healthier and functional crawl space because of these trustworthy repairs.
