They have lived in their house only for a few months, but new homeowners in Grove City, OH, started to notice a glaring problem. Water was leaking into the house through a corner near the sump pump, and there was also a leak in the sump pump discharge line.
The owners were worried about basement flooding and damage to their belongings, so they wanted to have these issues fixed right away. During their online research, the owners came across information about Ohio Basement Authority. They were eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them.
They met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the leaking home. He found that the leaking corner also happened to be an area where downspout conductor lines were located on the home’s exterior. A section of the exterior sump pump discharge line also was noticeably causing a nuisance above the ground.
Following our inspector’s recommendations, one of our crews then installed new downspout conductor lines on the property. The lines were buried underground and directed to drain at the edge of the property. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
The homeowners are now pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep their home dry.
