She has lived in her house for 35 years, but a homeowner in Cedarville, OH, was growing concerned with problems she noticed that were only getting worse in her basement. This area of her house always seemed to be wet, leading her to believe it was leaking in from somewhere. She has COPD, so being around wet and damp conditions were certainly not good for her.
Ready to address these problems for good, she sought the assistance of Ohio Basement Authority. She knew she could count on us for the right solutions for her because she was acquainted with one of our inspectors, Jeff Floit. As Jeff evaluated the condition of the leaking basement, he also pointed out other issues that needed attention. These included various cracks along the walls and unhealthy crawl spaces.
The homeowner was then eager for one of our crews to repair all of these issues. The basement was waterproofed with the BasementGutter interior drainage system, SafeDri sump pump, and exterior FreezeGuard sump pump discharge line attachment. A dehumidifier also was installed to help clean and filter the air, control moisture and humidity, and reduce odors and the potential for mold growth.
One of our many reliable foundation repair solutions was used to stabilize the walls. Several Carbon Fiber supports were placed on the walls. The small crawl spaces also were encapsulated with CrawlSeal liner.
The homeowner can rest easier knowing these trustworthy repairs have helped her create a safer and healthier living environment.
