Album Description
While the owners of a house in New Albany, OH, maintain the dwelling as a rental property, they wanted to make sure the home would be safe and stable for their tenants. Within the last year, foundation wall failure and settling has become evident. A few areas of the foundation walls in the basement and partial crawl space were cracking.
The owners began to research how to best address these issues, and they were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after finding information about our company through online resources like Angie’s List. They contacted us for further assistance, and they met with Inspector Jacob Thomas. Jacob completed a thorough evaluation of the problematic foundation walls, and he recommended the perfect repair solutions to protect the home.
One of our crews then installed two types of our trustworthy foundation repair solutions. Two corners of the home showed the most signs of settlement, so we installed Push Piers underneath these areas. These heavy-duty piers permanently stabilize the wall and offer the best opportunity to lift it back to the proper level.
The owners also saw the benefit of protecting another wall that was cracking, but not as severely as the other areas. Several Carbon Fiber supports were placed on this wall to permanently stabilize it and protect it from any further cracking or inward tilting.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing their tenants will have a safe and stable living environment because of these reliable repairs.
