As more projects wrapped up with her newly-built house, a homeowner in Urbancrest, OH, noticed another item that needed to be addressed – her exterior drainage system. She wanted to make sure a safe and effective downspout and exterior drainage system would keep her house dry.
After hearing about Ohio Basement Authority, the owner was eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help her. One of our inspectors visited to complete a thorough evaluation of the property. He agreed that the exterior drainage system needed to be updated, as some of the downspout and discharge lines were above ground. This not only affects the new home’s aesthetics, but they present safety hazards.
One of our crews installed new pipe that would be more reliable for the downspout lines. These lines were placed in the ground and directed far enough away from the home’s foundation to drain water to the side of the road at the edge of the property.
The homeowner is happy to now have an updated exterior drainage system that will keep her home dry.
