After living in her house for several years, a homeowner in West Jefferson, OH, began to notice a problem in her basement. Water appeared to be leaking through a wall and resulted in damaged drywall and puddles on the floor.
The homeowner wanted to fix these issues as soon as possible to prevent any further damage. After hearing about Ohio Basement Authority, the owner was motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help her. She met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the basement. Along with the leaking corner, our inspector found an outdated and inefficient sump pump system in another corner of the basement. He then recommended some of our reliable waterproofing solutions to keep the basement dry.
Foreman Nate Klingenberger and his crew then installed the BasementGutter interior drainage system to intercept seeping water. This water is then directed to the SafeDri sump pump that was installed to replace the older system. A FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and a YardWell outlet was placed at the end of the discharge line in the yard for camouflaging and safety purposes. A dehumidifier also was installed in the basement.
The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions have helped her create a healthier living environment that she will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
