After living in their house for several years, homeowners in New Carlisle, OH, noticed issues with their exterior drainage system. It appeared at least one area of the discharge lines was clogging and backing up.
The owners previously worked with Ohio Basement Authority for the installation of an egress window, so they knew they could trust us to address this newer issue. They met with the same inspector, Jacob Thomas, who helped them with the previous repair project. Jacob assessed the condition of the exterior drainage system, and he recommended this system be upgraded by one of our crews.
Foreman Larry Hinson and his crew then led his crew in installing newer, thicker pipe that would be more reliable for the downspout conductor lines. These lines were buried underground and directed to drain near a storm drain at the back edge of the property. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line to prevent flooding if the line should freeze or become blocked.
The homeowners are happy to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep their home dry, and they continue to be happy Ohio Basement Authority customers.
