Album Description
After living in his house for many years, a homeowner in Sugar Grove, OH, began to notice worsening problems in a building on the property that he uses as a garage and workshop. This structure, built on the side of a hill, had cracking and tilting walls, and was leaking water.
The owner wanted to avoid serious damage to the building and its stored items. After coming across information about Ohio Basement Authority online, the owner was motivated to contact us for further guidance. He met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the building, which is separated into two garage areas and a workshop area. Our inspector then recommended our reliable waterproofing and foundation repair solutions to permanently address these issues.
One of our crews then installed Carbon Fiber supports and Channel Anchors on the walls. The Carbon Fiber supports firmly adhered to the less severe wall to permanently stabilize it in its current condition and prevent any further movement. The heavy-duty, galvanized steel wall anchors were used to not only stabilize the wall in worse shape, but they also help pull the wall back to as level as possible.
To address the leaking, we installed the sub-floor BasementGutter drainage system and SafeDri sump pump. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
The owner is now happy to have dry and stabilized building that he will be able to use for many years to come because of these trustworthy repairs.
