Homeowners in Baltimore, OH, have lived in their house since it was built 24 years ago. Recently, however, they started to question exactly how healthy and safe their home really was. They lost a beloved cat to lung cancer, and they were concerned about odors and the air quality in their home.
While attending a popular home and garden show in the area, the owners spotted Ohio Basement Authority’s booth. They talked to some of our staff at the booth and were eager to set up an appointment on the spot to meet with one of our inspectors.
Shortly after, Inspector Zeke Fowler visited to complete a thorough evaluation of the home. Zeke found an unhealthy and unsightly vented crawl space under the house that most likely was contributing to mildew and mold growth, as well as musty conditions that aggravated the owners’ allergies. Zeke then recommended the perfect repair solutions that were installed by Foreman Martimiano Alonso and his crew.
The crawl space was encapsulated with thick and durable Crawlseal liner; insulated with foam insulation and ExTremeBloc panels, as well as spray foam; and sealed from the outside with vent covers that were placed on the home’s exterior.
The homeowners are pleased to have a healthier crawl space and home because of these reliable solutions.
