After living in their house for 12 years, homeowners in Grove City, OH, started to notice some problems in their basement. They questioned whether the sump pump was properly functioning, and they noticed some of the insulation in their crawl space was falling down.
During their research for repair options, the owners came across our website and they were eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They met with Inspector Zeke Fowler who completed a thorough evaluation of the home. While in the crawl space, Zeke had one of the owners follow him inside. Zeke pointed out a wall in the crawl space that had a sizable crack, which the owner was not aware of. Zeke then recommended the perfect crawl space and foundation repair solutions, as well as sump pump upgrade options.
Foreman Jose De Jesus Tellez Ortiz and his crew then installed these products that included Crawlseal, foam insulation, ExTremeBloc and Carbon Fiber supports in the crawl space; a SafeDri Triple sump pump in the basement; FreezeGuard exterior discharge line attachments; and new downspout conductor lines.
The cracking, tilting crawl space wall was stabilized with Carbon Fiber supports that firmly adhered to the wall. The crawl space walls also were insulated with ExTremeBloc panels, the floor was insulated with foam insulation boards, and spray foam was applied to the band joists for further insulation. The crawl space also was encapsulated with thick and durable Crawlseal liner.
The failing sump pump system was replaced with the more reliable SafeDri Triple, and FreezeGuards were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines. These lines also were tied into new downspout conductor lines that were placed in the ground and directed to drain at the edge of the property.
The homeowners can rest easier knowing these trustworthy repairs have helped them ensure the health and safety of their living environment.
