He has lived in his house for one year, but during that time, a homeowner in Galloway, OH, noticed issues with his home’s exterior drainage system. The exterior sump pump discharge line and one of the downspout conductor lines appeared to be tied together. Tree roots in this area appeared to be crushing the pipes and affecting the drainage, however.
The owner was concerned with water backing up around the house and possibly seeping into the basement, so he wanted to fix this problem as soon as possible. He found information about Ohio Basement Authority on Home Advisor, and he was motivated to contact us for further guidance. One of our inspectors visited the property to assess the condition of the drainage system.
One of our crews then installed new exterior drainage lines on the property. These lines were buried underground and directed to drain in front of the property at the curb. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
The homeowner is pleased to now have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep his home dry.
