After living in their house for 13 years, homeowners in Plain City, OH, noticed a problem in their basement was getting worse. Water was leaking into the basement in a few corners. These also happened to be areas where gutter downspouts were located on the home’s exterior.
The owners plan to live in the house for the foreseeable future, so this was something they wanted to address. During their search for potential repairs, the owners found information about Ohio Basement Authority on Home Advisor. They were then eager to contact us for further guidance. The owners met with Inspector Zeke Fowler who assessed the condition of the exterior drainage system. Zeke recommended this system be upgraded by one of our crews.
One of our crews then installed newer, thicker pipe that would be more reliable for the downspout conductor lines. These lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain far enough away from the home’s foundation so water from the lines would not seep into the home. YardWell outlets also were used to camouflage the ends of the lines in the yard.
The owners are pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep their home dry.
