After living in their house for six years, homeowners in Grove City, OH, began to notice a few problems in their basement. Water intrusion was still evident even though there was a sump pump system, cracks were visible on one of the walls, and the exterior drainage system also was beginning to show its age.
As they searched for potential repairs to address these issues, the owners found Ohio Basement Authority’s website. They were eager to contact us for further guidance, as well as meet with one of our inspectors. Inspector Andy Kennedy visited to complete a thorough assessment of the home, and he recommended the perfect basement waterproofing and foundation repair solutions and upgrades.
Foreman Rich Pomales and his crew then installed the BasementGutter drainage system in the basement’s sub-floor to intercept seeping water. This water is then directed to the existing sump pump to be pumped out of the home. A FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and new pipes were installed to replace the broken, detached gutter downspout line.
Additionally, Carbon Fiber supports were placed on the cracking wall to permanently stabilize it and prevent any further cracking or bowing.
The homeowners are pleased these trustworthy repairs were completed to help them ensure the health and safety of their living environment.
