After living in her house for only a few months, a homeowner in Lancaster, OH,, noticed a problem in the basement. Water was leaking inside through a few corners which had downspout conductor lines just outside of them.
The owner was concerned with the health and safety of her new home, and she didn’t want to have to worry about continuously leaking water. During her research to find possible repairs, the owner came across information about Ohio Basement Authority through the local BBB website. She was motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help her, as well as meet with one of our inspectors. Our inspector assessed the condition of the downspout conductor lines on the property, and he then recommended having one of our crews replace these lines.
Foreman Levi Fletcher and his crew then upgraded the home’s exterior drainage by replacing the older pipe with newer, thicker and more reliable pipe. Several areas of the older pipes were above ground, which is unsightly and unsafe. But the new lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain far enough away from the home. YardWell outlets also were used to conceal the ends of these lines in the yard.
The homeowner is pleased this upgrade project was completed to help keep her home dry.
