After living in their house for several years, homeowners in Ashley, OH, noticed some structural issues were worsening. A couple of the foundation walls were cracking and tilting inward, and some areas of the floor were sagging and not being properly supported by metal jack posts.
The owners were concerned with the home’s safety and property value, and they didn’t want the issues to get any worse. After the owners found Ohio Basement Authority’s website, they were eager to contact us for further guidance. They met with Inspector Zeke Fowler who assessed the condition of the problematic foundation walls and floor joists. Zeke then presented the owners with some of our reliable foundation repair solutions.
One of our crews then reinforced the walls with several Carbon Fiber supports. These heavy-duty supports firmly adhere to the walls to hold them in their current positions and prevent any further cracking or inward bowing.
Several IntelliJacks also were installed to replace the corroding and failing support jacks, as well as stabilize and help lift the sagging floors.
The crew also noticed areas of seeping water in the basement, so they installed these waterproofing solutions: the BasementGutter interior drainage system to catch seeping water and direct it to the SafeDri sump pump system. A dehumidifier also was installed.
The homeowners are pleased to have a safe, stable and dry home because of these trustworthy repairs.
