Album Description
After recently moving into her house, a new homeowner in Dublin, OH, was growing concerned with the health and safety of her living environment. The basement felt damp and had a musty odor.
The owner wanted to nip these issues in the bud before her health and the condition of her stored belongings was greatly affected. She started to search for repair options online, and she came across information about Ohio Basement Authority. She contacted us and then met with Inspector Andrew Rothenberg. Andrew visited to assess the condition of the home, and he brought some items to the owner’s attention. Along with some water intrusion in the basement, there also was a partial crawl space adjacent to the basement that was not properly sealed or insulated. Some areas of the fiberglass insulation even showed signs of mold growth, which could be causing and contributing to the unhealthy issues.
Andrew then recommended solutions that would perfectly address these problems. The owner was then eager for one of our crews, led by Foreman Jose De Jesus Tellez Ortiz, to transform her home. One of the projects included installing BasementGutter in the sub-floor of the basement to intercept seeping water and drain it to the existing sump pump.
The health and appearance of the crawl space was greatly improved by encapsulating the area in Crawlseal and insulating it with ExTremeBloc panels on the walls.
A Dehumidifier also was installed to improve the air quality in the home.
The owner is happy these trustworthy repairs were completed to help her create a safe and healthy home that she will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
