During the 10 years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Orient, OH, have noticed various health and safety issues only growing worse. The nasty crawl space appeared moldy and smelly, and had signs of water intrusion; water also was leaking into the basement; and one of the foundation walls was cracking and slightly tilting inward.
As they began to research how to address these problems, the owners came across information about Ohio Basement Authority. They wanted to contact us for further guidance, as well as meet with one of our inspectors. Zeke Fowler completed a thorough inspection of the basement and crawl space, and he then presented the owners with many reliable solutions that would repair and protect their home.
One of our crews then completed these improvement projects.
We used crawl space waterproofing solutions including CrawlDrain and a SafeDri sump pump to help keep the area dry. The crawl space also was insulated with ExTremeBloc panels and encapsulated with CrawlSeal.
The basement was waterproofed with BasementGutter and an SafeDri sump pump, and a dehumidifier was installed to improve the air quality throughout the home. Additionally, FreezeGuards were attached to the SafeDri sump pump and exterior drainage lines, and a YardWell was used to conceal the end of the main discharge line.
Several Carbon Fiber supports also were placed on the foundation wall to permanently stabilize it in its current position and prevent any additional cracking or movement.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions have helped them create a safer and healthier home.
