Album Description
She has lived in her house for 15 years, but it wasn't until recently that a homeowner in Zanesville, OH, noticed a minor moisture issue in her basement has become a bigger headache. She has had up to one inch of water in the basement, usually seeping into the home during the winter thaw and spring and summertime rains.
She was ready to fix these problems once and for all, so she contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company online. We then completed basement waterproofing and foundation repair projects at the 45-year-old home.
The BasementGutter drainage system was installed in the sub-floor to catch any seeping water and drain it to the SafeDri sump pump. The SafeDri will then pump the water out of and away from the home. A FreezeGuard was also attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and a dehumidifier was installed to dry and filter the air and reduce odors.
Our crew excavated the area outside the cracking and bowing south foundation wall down to the footer, then pushed the wall back to as plumb as possible. Five Wall Anchors were also installed to further stabilize the wall. An IntelliJack was also installed in the vicinity of the wall.
The owner was excited to have these permanent solutions installed so the home will be a healthier and stable living environment for herself and future owners.
