Buying a home is a significant investment, and so is undertaking repair and maintenance projects to protect that investment. Homeowners in Gahanna, OH, have lived in their house for 12 years, and it wasn’t until recently that they noticed significant structural and water intrusion issues.
The owners wanted to address these problems before they got any worse, so they contacted Ohio Basement Authority. We then installed many of our reliable permanent repair solutions to keep the basement dry, stabilize the foundation walls and improve the health of the crawl space.
Carbon Fiber, one of our foundation repair products, was installed to stabilize the cracking and bowing foundation walls. The older, corroding windows were replaced by an energy-efficient glass block window and a safe and secure egress window.
Crawl space repair products including the CrawlDrain drainage system and CrawlSeal liner were installed to improve the condition of the debris-filled crawl space. Two SafeDri Battery Back-Up sump pumps were installed – one in the basement and one in the crawl space – to pump any seeping water out of and away from the home.
