Not only do we at Ohio Basement Authority take pride in being able to help homeowners create healthier living environments, we also enjoy assisting our neighbors in need. For our recent volunteer effort to give back to the community, many of our team members spent the day ringing bells for the local Salvation Army’s Red Kettle holiday donation campaign.
Employees worked in pairs at two Gahanna Kroger locations, and a total of $853.13 was raised in donations between the two kettles. We then matched the donation to help the Salvation Army of Central Ohio in its mission to reach $600,000.
All of the donations stay within the community to help those in need with necessities like food, clothing and shelter, along with educational programs and other outreach efforts. More than 100,000 people throughout central Ohio benefited from these efforts within the last year.
It was a rewarding experience for all of us, and we hope our time and efforts can help make a difference in someone’s life.
