When they moved into their house several years ago, homeowners in New Carlislie, OH, planned to live there for many years. That is why maintaining a safe and healthy living environment is important to the homeowners.
They recently began to notice water seeping
inside one particular corner of the basement every time it rained. This resulted in puddles on the floor and visible damage to the walls and floor in that corner. It also was obvious the existing sump pump system was failing to keep up with this seeping water.
The homeowners would like to eventually finish the entire basement, so they wanted to have these problems fixed before any damage occurred. They came across Ohio Basement Authority’s website while researching potential repairs, and they were motivated to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. They met with Inspector Jeff Floit who evaluated the condition of the problematic basement corner and then presented them with some of our reliable basement waterproofing
One of our crews then installed the BasementGutter
interior drainage system around the basement’s perimeter. This system sits in the sub-floor and will intercept any leaking water from the walls and floor. The water is then directed to a more reliable and efficient sump pump we installed to replace the failing system.
The SafeDri Triple
system we installed features three powerful pumps inside the liner, as well as an external backup battery. This battery ensures the system will continue to work to pump seeping water out of the basement even during power outages. Additionally, we attached two FreezeGuards
to the exterior sump pump discharge lines.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable system will keep their basement dry.
