Homeowners in Delaware, OH, began to notice foundation wall cracks and signs of settling in their 20-year-old home. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company and our foundation repair methods online.
We installed Helical Piers to help correct the issues with settling and stabilize the foundation walls.
As the homeowners continued to learn more about our company and interacted with our inspectors and crew members, they realized another glaring problem in their home – their sump pump. The metal sump pit was showing signs of corrosion, and the system lacked a proper lid.
Along with completing the other repairs, we also upgraded their sump pump system to the SafeDri. The SafeDri features a powerful 1/3 hp cast iron pump with a metal float switch inside the heavy-duty polyethylene liner. It also is equipped with a DC pump, charging system and battery, and will automatically turn on if the primary pump fails to operate. The SafeDri can pump out more than 11,000 gallons of water on a new, fully-charged battery. The back-up battery also enables the system to continue to operate even in the event of a power outage.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing their home will be a safer living environment because of these reliable permanent solutions.
