New homeowners recently purchased their house in Marion, OH, intending to live there for many years. They were discouraged to learn that the previous homeowners failed to disclose a glaring issue in the basement. Water would seep into the basement and leave puddles and visible damage behind. The basement also flooded after the first heavy rain within just a couple months after they moved in.
The owners would like to use the basement for storage and usable space, so they can’t have water in the basement. They wanted to find a permanent solution to these unhealthy and unnerving issues, so they began to research how to best address them. They came across Ohio Basement Authority’s website and contacted us to learn more about how we could help them. After meeting with one of our trusted inspectors, the owners were eager for one of our crews to install some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions.
These included the BasementGutter interior drainage system and SafeDri sump pump. If and when any water seeps inside the walls floor, the BasementGutter system will intercept it and drain it to the SafeDri. Along with two powerful pumps inside the liner, the SafeDri also features an external backup battery that ensures the system’s continued operation even in the event of power outages. The SafeDri was installed inside the larger SafeDri Triple liner to allow for easy future upgrades.
An FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and this line was tied into a new downspout conductor line that was installed on the property.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions will keep the basement of their forever home dry.
