Homeowners in South Vienna, OH, currently have a dry basement, but they’re not sure how long that is going to last. They have experienced several sump pump failures in recent years, and they wanted to know that the system would be able to keep water out of the basement.
Motivated to have the issue addressed once and for all, the owners started to look into updating their sump pump system. After seeing some of Ohio Basement Authority’s TV ads, they were eager to contact us to learn more about our services and how we could help them. They met with Inspector Clark Sturgill, and he assessed the condition of the existing sump pump system. Clark then recommended one of our reliable sump pumps.
One of our crews then visited to remove the outdated, failing system with the SafeDri Battery Backup System. The SafeDri features a powerful 1/3 hp cast iron pump with a metal float switch inside the heavy-duty polyethylene liner. It also is equipped with a DC pump, charging system and battery, and will automatically turn on if the primary pump fails to operate. The SafeDri can pump out 11,500 gallons of water on a new, fully-charged battery. The back-up battery also enables the system to continue to operate even in the event of a power outage.
This system was installed using the larger SafeDri Triple liner, which allows for easy future upgrades.
The homeowners can now rest easier knowing this reliable system will keep their home safe and dry for many years to come.
