She has lived in her house for a little more than one year, but a homeowner in New Albany, OH, recently started to become concerned with her interior waterproofing system. She wondered if the sump pump was working correctly, as it was making a lot of noise.
The sump pump system is located in a closet in the finished basement, so it’s easy to keep it out of sight and out of mind. But the homeowner wanted to make sure her finished basement would be protected from flooding or other issues.
The owner contacted Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads, and she met with Inspector Jeff Floit. Jeff assessed the condition of the sump pump, and he noticed it looked outdated and inefficient. A failing sump pump, even if it has a backup battery, can lead to the problems the homeowner wanted to avoid. Jeff suggested the homeowner upgrade her sump pump to one of our reliable systems.
Foreman Milton Castro and his crew removed the older system and replaced it with the SafeDri Battery Backup System.
The SafeDri features two powerful pumps inside the liner, as well as an external backup battery to ensure the system will always operate to pump water out of the basement. We installed the SafeDri inside the larger SafeDri liner to allow for easy future upgrades.
The homeowner is pleased to have an updated sump pump system that will keep her home dry.
