A homeowner in Columbus, OH, has lived in her house for almost 30 years. Recently, however, she noticed evidence of water intrusion in the partial crawl space adjacent to the basement. She didn’t want this to turn into bigger problems, so she wanted to address this issue right away.
She previously worked with Ohio Basement Authority for a foundation stabilization project, and she knew she could again count on us to assist with the crawl space. One of our inspectors completed a thorough evaluation of the crawl space, and he recommended several reliable repair solutions.
Foreman Martimiano Alonso and his crew then worked to transform the crawl space with several projects. The crawl space was waterproofed with the CrawlDrain drainage system that was placed in the floor to accept seeping water. This water is then directed to the SafeDri sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. A FreezeGuard also was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line.
ExTremeBloc panels were placed on the crawl space walls to insulate the area, and the crawl space was then encapsulated with CrawlSeal. This thick, durable liner completely seals the crawl space, isolating it from the earth. CrawlSeal also is a moisture and vapor barrier.
The owner now has peace of mind knowing these trustworthy repairs have helped her create a safer and healthier forever home.
