After receiving a job offer from her alma mater, Mrs. Carla Corroto recently relocated from Maryland to the Columbus area. She and fellow Ohio State University professor Mr. Paul Clarke fell in love with this local dream home. They knew the basement needed a lot of attention, and they wanted to make sure it was healthy and dry upon an inspection concerning water and structural issues. After only living in the house for one week, they knew it needed a professional remedy. After contacting Ohio Basement Authority they wanted to have the work done by our professionals.
The home’s previous waterproofing system had failed, so the BasementGutter system with an SafeDri Battery Backup sump pump was installed. Ohio Basement Authority had to demo existing paneling throughout the basement, and existing beams in the foundation wall that were not installed to residential code had to be framed properly. Carbon Fiber was also installed where the paneling previously hid the wall. A dehumidifier was installed to lower the high humidity. The five-day project required a City of Columbus permit, which all inspections passed. The work is also covered by a lifetime transferable warranty.
