After living in his house for two years, a homeowner in Zanesville, OH, had grown tired of dealing with a continuous problem. Water was leaking into the basement and leaving visible damage behind. The owner was concerned his stored belongings could be damaged, so he wanted to find the right solutions to address these lingering issues.
Once the owner saw Ohio Basement Authority’s TV ads, he wanted to contact us for further guidance. Inspector Andy Kennedy then visited to assess the condition of the basement. Andy saw problems with water intrusion along the walls and floor, and he knew just how to fix the problem. Andy presented the owner with some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions.
One of our crews, led by Foreman Ben O’Bryant, then waterproofed the basement with the BasementGutter interior drainage system and SafeDri Prox sump pump.
The crew first excavated the basement’s perimeter for the proper installation of the BasementGutter system. BasementGutter is specially designed to sit in the sub-floor and atop the footing to accept seeping water from the walls and floor. Weep holes also are drilled into the bottom of the walls so seeping and built-up water can escape and flow into the BasementGutter system.
Any water intercepted by BasementGutter is then drained into the SafeDri Prox sump pump, which has a powerful 1/3 hp pump inside its liner to pump water out of the house. We used the larger SafeDri Triple liner to allow for easy future upgrades to the sump pump system, as well.
The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions are working together to keep his home dry.
